UPLOADING YOUR WEB SITE TO THE WEB SERVER

 Chesapeake.Net provides web hosting services that supports practically any HTML web  development software on the market.  However, all Tier 1 and Tier 2  files must be uploaded to our servers via FTP software, as only Tier 3 customers have access to FrontPage Server Extensions .   The  information  provided below  should assist you  in   configuring your  FTP software to  upload and  download web  content to and  from  your Chesapeake.Net account.

 Your Chesapeake.Net account type determines the Web Hosting services that are accessible to  you, and how you achieve access to them.  Click below on the type  of account that you currently have with us.

•   Tier 0 Accounts    (If you  have  purchased  web space  for your  Tier 0  account,  follow  the   setup  instructions  for Tier  1  accounts)
   
•   Tier 1 Accounts   (Our basic account, URL format: www.chesapeake.net/~username)
   
•   Tier 2 Accounts    (Same as  Tier 1,  except  the URL  format  removes  the ~  character:   www.chesapeake.net/webname)
   
•   Tier 3 Accounts   (Your own private domain name: www.yourdomain.com)
